Constructing a Mishkan of Peace

P’nai Or of Portland invites you to join us in “Constructing a Mishkan of Peace” with guest Rabbi Lynn Gottlieb. December 16th-19th, in honor of the 2nd yartzeit of Rabbi Aryeh Hirschfield zt”l

Lynn Gottlieb is one of the first ten women in the world ordained as a rabbi. A storyteller, activist, writer, percussionist, and ceremonial artist, Rabbi Lynn co-founded the Shomer Shalom Network for Jewish Nonviolence.

Thu Dec 16, 7:30 pm — Yartzeit and 10th of Tevet service
Fri 7:30 pm and Sat 10:00 am — Shabbat services
Sat Dec 18 12:45 pm — “The Torah of Nonviolence” $15 ($10 for members of P’nai Or and St. Mark) Please pre-register to avoid paying on Shabbat
Sat Dec 18, 7:00 pm — Havdalah and stories of peace-making
$15 ($10 for members)
Sun Dec 19, 2-5 pm — workshop on “Nonviolence as a Strategy for Change” $55 ($36 for members)
Package price to attend all events is $75 ($50 for members) or become a patron for $150, and enjoy brunch with Rabbi Lynn at a private home on Sunday at 11:30 am, which includes admission to all events.
